Nut Up Commercial
Recently our team has been working with Nut Up Industries, and their parent company Roche Brothers Inc, to create 6 unique videos to be used for a variety of mediums. This first project is a 60 second television commercial for their delicious Nut Up Chopped Almonds. Initially their hope was to highlight a day in the life of an almond farmer, as well as showcase their late model racing team led by their star driver Ross Strmiska. We loved the idea of showing their farmer and driver side by side to see how their days parallel as well as demonstrate how farming leads to product leads to lifestyle.
On day one Blare Media visited the Roche Brothers facility in Escalon, CA to meet with owner and president Joey Roche. We spent the day getting a tour of their factory and orchard while getting footage of Joey doing his thing. We had everything scripted out but also let him come up with ideas and show us how things really work. Next we hit the Madera Speedway to work with Ross and his team as they prepared for a big race. Taking the footage from our day at the orchard, we mapped Joey’s day with similar elements in the race prep area, complete with a visit from his toddler son.
We filmed right up until he went on the track and were then invited mid-field to experience the race, right in the center of the action. Big thanks to Kenny Shepherd at the speedway for giving us access and allowing us to get some really great footage.
The final spot is both slick and beautiful. Mauricio Tapia really killed it in the edit, matching the shots and propelling the story without losing the pace. It can be seen on MAVTV as well as online and on social media.
